Brighid's Fire
Here is a short poem I wrote today for Imbolc. Brighid is my patron Goddess and she was the first Goddess who ever came to me in a vision. So she holds a very special place in my heart. I hope you like this short poem.
The Goddess Brighid came to me
She opened her heart and arms to me
There we sat under the tree
Just myself and the Goddess Brighid
“What is your heart’s desire my love
Ask and it will be given
Just open your eyes to my love”
To me said the Goddess Brighid
There she sat the maiden of fire
Inspiration to the creator in me
By word or steel or sowing the field
Her fire burns on within me
The Goddess Brighid came to me
