Christine asked a variation on that when We all joined up. Her exact question for the sake of clarity was How long have you been a pagen ? My answer is that I'm not a pagen and I don't like the label of christian becuse it's much to big and it covers to much to be clear. I like things to be clear.
So the question kept me company while I lay awake for hours last night. What am I ? I've basicly given up on most of what my family claims to belive becuse they live in direct opposition to the doctrine they claim to follow. So where does that leave me?Well I thought it left me out in the cold . That I didnt like, until I remembered something an old English teacher said to the class once. He told us to be careful with our thoughts sinice they had lives of thier own .
So what does my belief system have to do with my writing? A lot actually. If every story idea we have automaticly takes on a life of it's own then how many orphans have each of us created becuse we just dump the idea as unworkable? Lets gather them up and bring them here. Maybe someone else will want the idea or by bringing that poor soul in from the reject pile we can find colaborators who wil work with us and renew our passion for a peice that grew just to large for us to do alone. If it take a villiage to raise a child perhaps it takes a guild to tell a story ?
Just a thought
