In many of my writings I have made reference to a ravine that lays not too far from where I live. In 2003 my daughters mother and I were living in our first apartment in the historical district of my hometown. The building itself was close to 150 years old. And fact that was painfully obvious when it came to maintaining it. It was a huge brick building although the interior brick walls had long been covered over. It's that time of year when there are tons of Pagan gatherings going on all over. Many of those gatherings have rituals involved that include things like flowers, seeds, sage, drumming, fires, maybe a chant and the whole works. It's all great, unified, joyous, and... safe.
